Ein geniales Buch. Alles sehr verständlich erklärt und sovielwissenswertes und interessantes enthalten, dass es sich auf jeden Fall lohnt!Ist auch in einem leicht verständlichem Englisch verfasst, dass heißt manmuss nicht so oft im Wörterbuch nachschlagen um die jeweiligen Wörter zuverstehen. Top!
I love this book! As a mechanical engineer student i hate structural analysis. This book explains the structural analysis in a very easy way, and it even goes far beyond. You will learn about the history of structural analysis, dynamik etc. and their inventor. I read it in one weekend. Structures: Or Why Things Don't Fall Down is on the must read list of Elon Musk...what more should i tell.For all non native english speaker: The english is level B2-C1

My good colleague recommended it to me and I am doing the same via this comment... via amazon everything was without any problems and taking into account book's age, it was delivered in very good condition.
Let me start by saying I did not voluntarily purchase this text. I had to read it cover to cover for my "Solid Mechanics and Design" course.This book is filled with many interesting aectdotes from the author's experiences. It is written in a casual way, which I like. Most textbooks I had overcomplicate everything! This book covers a broad range of topics without going into any of them too deeply.The problem is that I found it lacked the detail I needed to actually "use" it. There's no math. This makes it great for the layman, but what layman would be interested in reading about Civil Engineering? It provided decent base knowledge, but when it was test time, I found it completely useless. The author repeatedly suggests out-of the-box thinking, which is good, but doesn't really help. He'll talk about birds and say "aeronautical engineers take note." Thanks a lot.Buy this if you are passionate about science and engineering or are a middle school or high school student. Don't buy this if you're looking for help in college or your career.
